Sipi Falls is a series of three waterfalls in the eastern part of Uganda, on the slopes of Mount Elgon. The waterfalls are known and visited for their beauty and the lush green surrounding area.
The three falls feature different heights. The highest, which is equipped for abseiling, plunges 100 meters. Arabic coffee is grown around the waterfalls. The falls have created stunning picnic spots and views along the banks. Hiking Trails lead off to each of the three falls, and at the foot is a series of natural pools you can swim in. They are swimmable, although cold, at any time throughout the year.
Sipi Falls is a great place to get close to nature. It features 200 different species of birds. Other activities you can do here include abseiling, rock climbing and mountain biking. Sipi Falls is also a good place to take some time off and just enjoy the natural surroundings of Uganda.
