You will be picked up from your hotel or Airport, and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Queen Elizabeth National Park is known to have more mammals than any other park in Uganda. The game here includes both forest and savannah species for instance; Elephants, Buffaloes, Hippopotamus, Kobs, Warthog, a variety of primates like; Chimpanzee, Olive Baboons, Red-tailed and Vervet Monkeys, predators like; Leopards, Lions, Spotted Hyenas and Side-stripped Jackal. This park is also a birders paradise with over 611 recorded species.
Stop for lunch in Mbarara, then proceed to the park for an afternoon game drive.

Today you go for an early morning game drive with the hope of seeing lions and other predators as they hunt for their prey. In the afternoon, you take a launch/boat cruise of about two hours on the Kazinga channel for bird viewing (Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the best birding parks in Africa with “560” + recorded bird species and 296 bird species seen in 24 hours). You may also watch wildlife including the hippopotamus and elephants, among others. The Channel is believed to have the largest concentration of hippopotamus in the world.

This day early morning with packed breakfast, drive to Kyambura gorge for chimpanzee trekking. Upon arrival at Kyambura Gorge start point/offices, you will be advised to have your packed breakfast and after that, you will be introduced to a local guide who will give a brief about the gorge and what it harbours, what the trails are like, the chances of seeing the Chimpanzees, before you finally set off to begin your day’s trek to view the Chimps. After tracking the chimpanzees, we return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon you will go for a nature walk in Maramagambo forest.

After breakfast check out and take another brief game drive on your way out for Kampala. You will have a lunch stopover en route expecting to reach Kampala or Entebbe in the afternoon.
